Boston Common

By 1640, Puritans had set aside the Common as a 50 acres public space.  It is the 3rd oldest park in the United States. Among other uses, they used the park for public hangings and displaying citizens in the stockade.  It is the 3rd oldest park in the United States. This is where we began our "freedom Trail Tour"
