4 hours to the keys

I always had this image that the "road to the keys" would be one long, new highway/bridge with water on each side and an occasional island that you could do an EZ On EZ Off.  Well, this is not the case.  If you did not know where you were, you would think you were in "Any Town USA" with a Surf and Turf twist thrown in.  It is one long tropical retail mall.  Most of the hotels are older and located down long dusty roads.  Occasionally, you get a peek of water through a window of an old mobilehome.  I took some pictures as we got closer to the end` and it started looking like what I had imagined.  The bottom picture is from the web,  We took the top picture.
